Stay Safe using the Internet. Here's how:


Use a screen name (not your real name) on IM (instant messaging) or a blog.

Keep your password a secret. Don't show it even to your best friend.

It's not ok to write mean things about people on the Internet. You can get in trouble !

Don't stay in a chat room if someone makes you feel uncomfortable.

Never agree to get together with someone you meet on the Internet.

Ask an adult if you want to register for something or enter a contest online.

Never put any photos on the Internet unless you check with your parents.

Before you download files, ask an adult. Some files can harms your computer.

 ELECTRICAL SAFETY
 
 
 1. Do not touch electrical cords that are broken or have wire showing.

2. Do not play with or bite electrical cords.

3. Do not stick fingers or any other objects into light sockets,
appliances or electrical outlets.

4. Do not overload outlets with too many plugs. 
 
5. Do not pull on cords to unplug appliances. Hold on to the plug itself.

6. Do not touch anything electrical while you are wet or standing in or near water.

7. If you ever find that a power line has fallen STAY AWAY FROM IT and report it immediately to an adult. And hopefully they will take the proper measures to have it removed.

8. Do not fly kites, model airplanes or balloons near power lines.

9. Do not climb power poles or trees close to power lines.

10. Do not touch or go near electrical equipment. Stay away from
anything marked "Danger", "High Voltage" or "Keep Out".
